Jon Beizer
Managing Partner

Mr. Beizer has over twenty years of experience working with high-growth companies in senior management positions and private equity.

Prior to forming Foghorn Capital, Mr. Beizer served as President and Chief Financial Officer for IPWireless, a fast-growing chipset, hardware and software provider to global wireless carriers. Mr. Beizer led the sale of IPWireless to Nextwave Telecom for $235 million. Previously, Mr. Beizer worked for TPG Asia where he was involved in making new investments and improving the performance of existing portfolio companies. Prior to that, Mr. Beizer was at various times CEO, President and CFO of iAsiaWorks, an Internet infrastructure firm focused on hosting and data center services. Mr. Beizer led the iAsiaWorks IPO in 2000, in which the company went public with a valuation of more than $500 million. Before that, Mr. Beizer held various titles including CFO, VP Business Development and VP of Marketing at Phoenix Network, a publicly-traded telecom services company. Mr. Beizer was instrumental in negotiating the sale of the business to Qwest Communications. Mr. Beizer graduated Magna Cum Laude from Harvard University and also holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the Stanford University's Graduate School of Business.

Michael de Anda
Managing Partner

Mr. de Anda has over twenty years experience in private and public investing and has served on numerous Boards of Directors.

Prior to forming Foghorn Capital, he founded and managed de Anda Capital, a family office. Mr. de Anda has been investing in privately-held companies since 1993. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Pricing Dynamics, American Biosurgical and Mazunte, and as an advisor to Verve Wireless. Previously, he was an advisor to E-coupons and sat on the Boards of NetHandicap and Federal Research prior to the acquisitions of these businesses. Prior to his full-time management of the de Anda Capital family office, Mr. de Anda was a General Partner of Eureka Capital, a small cap focused hedge fund. Mr. de Anda is a member of the DePaul University College of Commerce advisory council. Mr. de Anda earned his C.P.A. in Illinois. He holds a Bachelors degree in Accounting from DePaul University and a Master of Business Administration from Stanford University's Graduate School of Business.

Doug Koo
Managing Partner

Mr. Koo has over twenty years of experience primarily in senior management roles at small companies. Mr. Koo also has experience in small company investing and management consulting.

Prior to forming Foghorn Capital, Mr. Koo was a Managing Director at Leader Ventures, a venture debt fund. Previously, Mr. Koo held CEO, CFO and COO positions with several small to mid-sized companies. He was the CFO and CEO of Blaze Entertainment, a mobile games publisher, and orchestrated the sale of the company to Oberon Media. Mr. Koo was also the CFO and COO of Everypath, Inc., a software company that sold mobile applications in the medical device industry. Prior to Everypath, Mr. Koo worked for Trident Capital, a private equity and venture capital firm, where he helped source deals and perform due diligence. Mr. Koo was the CFO of CBCA, Inc. a health care services company that performed claims processing, policy administration and care management for self insured companies. Before that, Mr. Koo was the CFO and CEO of CAT Technology, a systems integrator that provided managed services. Mr. Koo was a founder and Director of NoInk Communications, which was acquired by GHX, a company owned by a consortium of the world's largest medical device manufacturers. Mr. Koo graduated Cum Laude from University of California, San Diego and also holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Stanford University's Graduate School of Business.
